The seller had his Brother-in-law come today from Kansas city to view/insp the pontiac. The good news is,its a different 34 and diff seller.. He is looking for an 18 ft trailer now. He is coming from Florida, bringing it,and taking my 56, that pontiac is 215 inches long.

I will send ya that number when Im back on Face Book. Yes its actually happening. I know.No one believes it.LOL But its real, Chuck and his wife are leaving Cape Coral , Florida in the morning. He went today and got a u-haul trailer. The 34 is loaded and tied down. Hes got several industrial grade ratchet straps for tying the 56 down on that 16 ft trailer. Like me, kinda age  doesnt like night driving so much, so some time tomorrow night, they will catch a motel. He says they will be here Sat. I,m not so sure. Its a 20hr drive in a car. 1350 miles I think it said. The weather wont be soo great. Friday says light snow?? 40% I think, but KS always changes.  I,m so excited,  that I,m actually gonna get such a car. As that 34. A full build Photo albumn comes with it. I know I will be building a pair of door prop rods for it, As its got running boards, that need to be protected at car shows,Kids have a tendency to step up on them. He showed me pics of car shows, taking best of show most of the time.. Any way, I will be driving it. Just no gravel roads.LOL   The other side.

Well the broken u-haul trailer got replaced, and the 56 fit on there just fine, believe it or not. The 34 has been locked away in my garage,a cpl days now. Its gonna be 80 in a cpl days, than I will back it out and rinse it off, and start the detailing process. Never owned a hot rod like this, except for my 55 chevy 2nd series pickup. Its awesome underside. I will take a walk around video of it,running while I am doing this. Be going to a car show the 21st. Gonna have fun.. https://scontent.fict1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/30629216_10214128743266367_8604299591157809152_n.jpg?_nc_cat=0&_nc_eui2=v1%3AAeH2wd56YH-L_U1V8yhzT7qUCHGE2P40CTyEk69p6VIjN1hha8MuWbXRnJDuySoSBgxvnnKcZdgQyqNHOeM4_kFchmIHwI32GnOtOQCuYsLL4g&oh=1f924fdd23fc6ba71165f764ccff1dc9&oe=5B5C5356

Prob getting tired of hearing about my 34 By now.LOL But I took it to my local Rod Shop, to have some things done. #1 It has a Vintage  Heat/Air system, but being from Florida, had never had the heater hoses installed. The seller sent a pair he had for it. They ended up being Hydralic lines, I wouldnt use them,so new ones have been built and installed. #2 The pwer disc brakes were bairly functional, Found the vac pump wasnt turning on,bad connection, #3 Drivers side glass (pwr) wouldnt go up to the top, lacked about , some other nusiance items getting fixed, prob be done by tomorrow. I,m not complaing, just hate spending money.Oh and later,I having a 700R4 installed,in place ot the 350. Its got radical rear gears, this is a good way to fix if for cruising, besides I have a newly built ,extra very high perf 34 at the shop, to fix pwr brake booster 002.JPG34 at the shop, to fix pwr brake booster 003.JPG34 at the shop, to fix pwr brake booster 004.JPG34 at the shop, to fix pwr brake booster 016.JPG34 at the shop, to fix pwr brake booster 015.JPG34 at the shop, to fix pwr brake booster 014.JPG34 at the shop, to fix pwr brake booster 011.JPG 700R4 with all the goodies, stored away .

Yes, but kinda got out of hand. I knew the brakes werent working correctly. 4 wheel pwr disc brakes? Long story short, car is still in the shop, Reqd new master cyld, it was plumed wrong, and was full of water/mushy gummy stuff.  Lines cleaned out, rear brakes installed incorrectly, thes are 4 piston wilwoods. Than with all that fixed, the front disc locked up, from non use.Only the rear had been working. Any way, missed the show today, but raining any way. Will get the car back the 1st of next week, Will give you updates.

Well the new master cyld (corvette) unit, was defective.. The piston wasnt returning. Took a day to realize it was the new master cyld. Soo the 3rd one came in yesterday, and just took the insides out and put them in the 2nd one,as it had already been drilled for ext resivor. That way,it can bereturned, Now the brakes all work as they should, except the pads got glazed from locking up.LOL Soo now, new pads are on order. Its still nasy weather.soo no biggy.

Well the latest. Finally got good brakes. Had to go with new front rotors and calipers, The old ones were all corroed etc. The front tires were date coded 1998. Now let that soak in. LOL . This car is 20 yrs old, with 11000 miles, Found out that it has been in storage for all these years, Thats why the exterior, under neath etc is still like new. The bad news is, reqd new tires. Has a new battery, Turbo 350 was leaking, fixed now, ,Found out,it has like 320 gears, soo all the rukus ia about the 10" 3500 stall converter thats in it. It runs way to warm at 55/60 mph, due to RPM, There is no tach ,but will have one. Cant use the fixed AC,as it causes over heating. So getting a 2000/2400 11" converter installed when I can. I took it to the 1`st car show on my Birthday :) Sat,ran 55,Coming home it was 94 degrees,so ran 45 mph. Thats a crock, 209 engine temp, Cant wait for a new converter. Just things ,Im finding out that werent disclosed to me.Yates Center car show 002.JPGYates Center car show 009.JPGYates Center car show 006.JPG

Found out ,not many cars showed up, Some from around here went down, and said I would have gotten some cash. Cash sure would have been good. But prob cpl weeks before I get shop time, before getting converter swapped.

Well ,Got the converter on order. Talked to a few and to the shop. They all seem to think this will work, I,m not sure,This mtr 383 is simular, with more cam than what I had built for the Pontiac. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000CIGDHY/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1         This mtr prob gos close to 500lbstq at 3500 rpm. Soo we will see.

Isn't it amazing the things we do to make stuff our own. Rodders gonna have this car run and look like a different car when's he's done. The old owner probably thought there was nothing left to do and was ready to move on, but all it takes is a new vision. The convertor will make it run like a different car.

A lot of people think doing or building something a certain way is correct, but really isn't. ..fortunately we know the difference! The coupe is coming along nicely! Pretty soon all the bugs will be worked out and then just pure fun!
