my daily took a crap!

Yup. Just like the title says. My daily driver that served me for a little bit over 2 years. Just quit.I tried the cheap fixes with left over parts I had laying around. But can't really spend money or time to fix something not really worth it.

so looking at new candidatesite for daily dutys.got my eyes on a couple of prospects

first a 93 k2500 for 2 k. Sounds good, but it has a 6.5 diesel.

next a 96 k1500 for 4 k sounds good looks good has a 350 vortec and a resent paint job bad boy orange! Lol

third a 93 k1500 for 3.5k looks good love the color plus comes with a 8ft plow! Really loving that option! !

Can you make your money back with the plow? The only thing is the motor could be tired if its been pushing that plow for a while

I have a 97 K1500 with the 350 Vortec....Its a great truck, paid 4 grand 3 years ago, so that 96 sounds a bit pricey to me.
I would likely go with the plow truck too, if it hasnt been beat to heck.....Offer $3000 for it

I would say plow truck. Look like its got heavy springs under it to keep from sagging under the weight of the plow.

Too bad on the 6.5, I would have went that direction. 93 is the only year for a turbo and none of the crappy, troublesome PMD. Only problem then is if it still has the 5 speed dual mass flywheel, they tend to break crankshafts.

Well he sold the truck b4 I got to him. And the owner of the orange truck never got back to me.
I never thought it would be this hard to find a old truck.

It would be nice for driving the family around and doing little things, but not much room when trying to haul stuff.  the price tag kinda hurts too.

Well got a new daily today. A lady not far from here decided it was time to get rid of her late husbands old truck
04 Sierra. Not what I was looking for. But for 600 $ could not beat the price.

Well as they say "when it rains it poors" well we could say when it snows it blizzards lol.
anyways. Bad luck with the truck. Been driving it a little bit over a month. The cab corners and rockers fell off.door bottoms and rear wheel arches are bubbling. So time for a body job. The 4x4 stopped working Wednesday morning, and Friday morning the transmission only has reverse and 1st. And then on top of that this morning the brake lines busted.
well CR you called it. Guess you know me pretty well. For 2 guys who conversate over the Internet lol.
as soon as I get time (next couple of weeks ) she's coming in the shop for major surgery.
Will be doing 2 inch suspension lift 3 inch body lift dual exhaust. Retro fit all new brake lines without any of the abs stuff.
and the body job ofcorse will also be doing a tune up. Spark plugs wires air filter Mas sensor and odds and ends

Man I hate to see that happen. I know its part of it when you buy a used truck like that, but you hope to get more out of them than just a month or so.

Dang, all that would make me want to haul it to the crusher and start over. I guess I've been pretty lucky on DD over the years. Usually buy something $1500 or so, drive it 3-4 years and not loose over a few hundred. Even made some on a few of them. 2003 Gran Marquis I bought a year and a half ago with 110,000 miles for $900, some new tires and windshield brought that to about $1500 and I've put 20,000 comfortable trouble free miles on it. It's been a real blessing with all the doctor's visits I have every week and trips to Minneapolis. Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread.
