Notice

Well I gave my 2 week notice where I've been working. I've had my own business for a lot of years and this is the first time I have been employed by someone!  Didn't care for it at all! Gonna go back contracting..its where my heart is! My better half says I have a different look on my face when I'm building something! A look of pure pleasure according to her!.. Lol..so its off I go once again! Wish me luck

Good for you!! I guess I've had the most money when I worked for someone else but all jobs still suck when it comes right down to it.

Yeah but it helps to think that your getting all the money when you work for yourself. I just hate to think that a person just paid let say 70$ to someone who did nothing for them and then that same person pays you 20$ for it. Kinda makes you wonder what did you do to get 50$ out of this ? I did all the work. You sat behind a counter.

All businesses have to turn a profit or they're out of business! Some take a large percentage of the profit, some don't..You just have to weed thru them if you're a subcontrator.

I've told my sons a lot of times that it's crazy to try and hit  a homerun on every customer. Take a smaller pay and you'll get call backs for other work! I'm not saying to do the job for free, but be realistic in your pricing!

I couldn't seem to get it going around here with me being new..Now I'm confident that it's gonna fly!

I have 2 more days to go and then my time with an employer comes to an end. I've been blessed with lining up jobs this week for the coming weeks! Hopefully things will continue rolling along. I know my better half was stressing inside, but being the fantastic woman she is, she kept it inside!
