Falcons!

Always had a spot in my heart for early model Falcons. The first fast car I owned was a 63 1/2 Futura with a 289 and a 4 speed..loved that car..fooled a lot of cars with it!!biggrin

Wasn't much to those falcons, I bet that 289 really woke that little car up

I'm not really a Ford guy too much...like em, but that little car was a handful.. The 289 replaced the original 260...and yes it woke that car up!.. Still have a desire to own another ..problem is I haven't seen another Futura model with a factory 4 speed...guess they were an option that didn't sell too well!...most Falcons were built as compact economy cars with little 6 cylinder motors and maybe a 3 speed on the column..sure would like the opportunity to have another!biggrin

My first car was also a 63....It was a Futura convertible....I t only had a 6 with a 3 on the tree, but it was a fun little car.

There was a special model that had the v8 and 4 speed called the Sprint.
