right now I am working on a deal for a AFB 625cfm carter as I am done messing around with qjets for my truck.
and also checking rockauto for shocks for my flatbed trailer, also looking at princess auto for fenders.
will definitely be finishing up the trailer in the spring. The truck now is another story. Still needs paint. Tires. And I still have the 400sbc I want to rebuild for it. Plus all the fun stuff for the utility side of it.
Have had good luck with Edelbrock (Carter) carbs and Qjets......The Qjets can be a bit finicky, but once set right are excellent mileage. Holleys, I find are great for the track, for the street, not so much.
I have also used the Princess Auto fenders on both my trailers. Good quality and price.
As for me....mostly playing with tractors these days.....money is tight.
The first edlebrock I had was the best carb I've ever owned. Then I tried one on a zz4 crate motor and couldn't get it to run right for love or money. So put a Holley on it and no problems. Lately I can't get the Holley to run. I have an Eldelbrock not even sure what cfm it is but I might put it on. The edelbrock I had at first had an electric chock didn't matter how cold it was all I had to do was pump it to set the choke and it fired and ran. I just can't tune an edelbrock to save my life, one thing about Holley their easy to tune. The old 750 I'm using now sat for a couple years so I'm sure a good cleaning will make it work.
Well we are in the middle of a power outage. We just past the 48hrs mark.some have been out longer. Power crews are hard at work. Some people have regain power. But many are still out.
I'm feeling your pain..went without power a few times..longest was 4 days. But it was summer. How are you making out with heat and keeping your pipes from freezing?

Well. Power out sense Wednesday. Power company said it will not be back by Monday night.
volunteers crews from Maine and nova Scotia. Are coming to help. But there's so much to be done.
No no fire at my house. I decided it was time go get in the times so I got a air to air heat pump.
but after fighting with the power guys .we got our power today. And I got him to admit that they F up. And we should have had power
Thursday night. They forgot to turn on the switch after there trouble shooting. There was nothing wrong with our lines.
I used to lose power often a few years ago when I lived in a wooded neighborhood..used to really get to me when my neighbors to the left had power and me and everyone to the right would go days without power..thankfully I had a generator!

Here is a trailer I built a few years ago. I had 12" x 3/16" strap bent in a brake. Just a lip on the outside and I think 2" on the inside. I had to notch and bent to fender shape. $75 and I have fenders I can drive on, hook ratchet straps too. This trailer was made from travel trailer torsion axles with shocks and has been the best trailer I've ever owned, pulls like a dream.
