My soon to be 1937 Ford..I think .

I never actually started out wanting to trade or sell my Pontiac. It was an ego thing when I offered up my 2006 Solstice on a cpl diff cars,55 chevy for one. Guys would jump in with better cars etc. This guy in Yuma, was showing me his 56 chevy pickup, simular to the one I built. I wasnt interested,I felt my Pontiac was worth substantially more. He shows me his 37 Ford coupe, and I got excited, He said he knew he would have to bring up cash, and he agreed to several 1000 more. Any way, the rest is history, Since than, I joined all 10 for sal/for trade webb sites on FB. Its interesting.I dont think another deal will come along. OH well.

14364632_1774412266170494_730881433182040472_n headliner.jpgIf this happens,It needs Heat and AC. Also the Big Block needs some billet etc :)  Not too crazy about the interior. Esp the head liner... OH well. this car is worth at least 3 times what the Solstice is. I gave 10K for it. Soo my ratioale is I can always make some money here.

Well still communicating on this swap. He has discovered that my new solstice (10-yrs-old) with 12,000 actual miles, doesdnt book out for crap. Whole sale is 7000 and dealer sells for 10K same as I paid for it. The 39 Ford is glass, but still prices out at 35K. Hes asking 25K,as he has just had lung transplant :(. Is wanting the solstice. But wants 5K kicker.I agreed to 4K ,thats where we are at. Im thinking we are about there. That 39 is a BRUTE, Could have some fun with it. Has new awesome paint job, used to be red, you can tell by interior, But is now a deepcandy dark blue. Oh well. Hope all had a HAPPY NEW YEAR...

Yeah, this guy with the 39 coupe, ended up wanting and additional 12K plus my Solstice. In the long run, still a good price, But I dont have cash to be throwing around like that. Still have a habbitt of looking at these hot rods. LOL Just saw a new $100,000 34 ford coupe. Glass package, but a sema quality car. The seller dropped it down to 50K, later, dropped it down to $43K. I jumped in and offerd my 56 and the solstice,in a heart beat, but the guy came back and said hes just selling it, not the owner, who actually is building them, So no trade there.

Ain't it the truth about looking at old hotrods It seems no matter how broke I am or how many projects I have I find myself looking behind houses driving down unfamiliar roads just to see if I can spot something that might be worth getting.... its a sickness

Guess thats why we are all in the same club LOL.. Looking at a 31 Model A now.Its in Texas. Has 350 with 700R4,,Heat and AC. Tires are not correct for a fenderless hot rod. Front s are way too big, and rears not big enuff. Hes asking $42500.. Which means he wants my 56. Im gonna talk, if it was chopped a bit, but is stock, its pretty,, kinda LOL The htr and AC lines are weird,Kinda hanging out, because of headers. Also the header on that side looks blue? I thinking its running lean?? It has a 406 in it..Ill post pics for fun..Later.

Yes,I owned the 32 remember LOL My knees were up around my chin. Thats why Im looking at 5 window coups. They have extra room, Many are checys, plemoths etc, with 32 grill shells. Doesnt make any diff to me,they all look like 32 Fords ha ha. Im not gonna get rid of my 56,have crazy money in it. The new solstice,I wouldnt have a prob at all. Oh well, the fun is the chase. But the biggeest thrill is doing the build. Getting hundreds of comments about the 56,I just lwered the price to 45K. Wont go any lower than tha. See ya all later.
