Yes..impressive..I never understood why 55 to 57 Ford's never really caught on like the same year Chevies..I love seeing the odd cars done up! Years ago I had a 63 falcon with a 289 and a factory 4 speed..one of the best and coolest cars I ever had..freaky fast for what is was..but an oddball to other cars!.. Lol

A falcon with that setup had to have been a blast to drive. I've never been a ford guy but I do like the falcon.

Hard to believe, but the 57 Ford actually outsold the 57 Chevy.......Dont know why there arent many around.
In 58, that ugly 58 Chevy was named car of the year.........my dad had one, what a pile.

My 1st car was a 63 Falcon....only a 6cyl, but a cool car.

In the early 70,s ,prob 71 and 72 I ran a 65Mustang GT, at the drag strip. I had a chevie 12 bolt 4:88 rear end. a 289 with 351 heads, ,lots of comp and intake,Sounded like a BB on Nitro, It would scare all the competitors as I would come up and stage. I ran the Ford Black box, they called it than. Rock crusher 4 spd with CRC clutch and pressure plate etc. The funny thing is I never got to make a full throttle pass. Id blow the crap out of the pressure plate and clutch?? I had CASLER slicks on it. The body I never cut up at all. I think about it now,DANG wish I owned a 65 Mustang GT. LOL
