The Mostang is going EFI


We are going EFI just ordered a FITECH EFI duel throttle body system it's going on top of a weiand tunnel ram system is self learning has a data logger and can be adjusted by a hand held control included in kit or by lap top. the system is capable to supply air and fuel from 300-1200hp has x2  835cfm throttle bodies a high pressure fuel system that has its own canister tank you run high volume low pressure to tank and the tank contains the variable speed high pressure pump.30064a-1-22-16.jpg40003-1-22-16.jpg1987[583x].jpg

    first of the parts have showed up no more shifting for me lol to be competitive in Super Pro races are won by hundredths some time thousands of a second we are putting every advantage we can in the car when I'm done I will only have to put it to the floor release a button and hang the hell on oh and most of all keep it straight.

This is the style tunnel ram we are using its a high ram they are advertised to make power 2500 to 8000 should work great with the EFI and my cam with a power band 4500 to 7000.

I talked to a tech at FITECH turns out the throttle bodies are 835cfms each totaling to 1670cfms sound like way to much right? not with EFI engine can only pull so much air and EFI is constantly monitoring A/F ratio and maintaining 14.5 normally a over carbed engine will kill the vac signal With EFI vac number means nothing EFI will not have to over richen to make up for the flat spot that carb has when throttle blades open fast and manifold vacuum drops and no fuel is being pulled  making the need for big accelerater pumps adding fuel to get past the dead spot. EFI has no flat spot it adds only what it need when it needs it guy tells me not only should make more power car should be more Consistent. we will see very soon.

I'm really excited to see this manifold with EFI ! I love the look and the performance of Tunnel Rams. Years ago Hot Rod magazine did a H/P and Torque test on most popular manifolds and Tunnels took home the grand prize! I ran one on the street for years. Once I figured out the flat spots and made corrections that thing pulled like crazy!

I always heard of guys having trouble tuning tunnel rams for the street. Never mested around with 1 my self.

most EFI motors I've torn apart never seem to have bore wear. Wonder if this works the same way, would be nice when it comes time to freshen up motor as long as nothing else is hurt.

More parts have arrived getting started soon may also have a new paint job coming my friend is trying to talk me into a red base coat with a tangerine pearl clear coat with the word Mostang painted in the base
