91 Mustang with BB Chrysler Drag Car project

started to get a few things mocked up put the mid plate in boy its going to be tight no one said putting a BB Chrysler in a fox body would be easy but from what I can see it will fit dam thing going to look huge in this engine bay. also finish getting all the lettering off and my kids had some fun to. will need a truck oil pan there is only 12" from the pate to the cross member my engine uses a external pickup so I do not have to worry about a pick up tube. Next I will bolt up a stripped block in install the frt engine plate start getting everything lined up so I can weld the mounts for the plates.

If it was easy, everyone would do it! You're gonna have something no one else has!

Well it would be boring if we all had the same camaro with the same 350 SBC right ?
Not dissin anybody that has a camaro or 350.
But the thing is to try to be different. See what other people are thinking of. No matter what I see I never bad talk another persons project.yeah sure sometimes you see something that is not to your taste or something you would not do if the car was yours. But that's what makes this great to see all different things.

Both of you have a great project going! Love to see alternative motors....like 88 said..you get tired of seeing the 350 sbc in everything...I know its the cheapest and easiest, but..... I love the truck Denny!!!

made some progress today going to the Drags tomorrow to see my friend 67 Camaro run with it's new 515 BB chevy should be in the 9s his has been a race car since the early 70's was called Daddy's Dollar back in the day.

after 3 yrs of sitting me and my son got the 528 running 65lbs of oil pressure at idle, carb gaskets leaking a bit but ran good

didn't take much she started right up so it will be coming out soon and finding its new home.

attached is a photo of his car back in the early 70's to day its all blue car only has a few hundred mile on it 1/4 mile at a time.

The adapter kit and plate to go from powerglide to mopar finally came in and its the right one this time !!!

But while I waited I fixed a crack & hole in the bumper and gave it a new coat of lipstick.

The paint seems to blend in good with the rest of the car as well.

Today I removed the 528 it's on the engine stand going to tear it down replace some gaskets and quick inspection then a nice coat of red paint on the engine and black wrinkle on valve covers.

Tomorrow my friend and I are going to get the mock up block in for a test fit.
