wiring help


Hey guys working on my 88 as here.there is a oil pressure switch it has 4 wires on it brown is for power.

Tan is for choke lite,blue is for choke. And then there is a green one ??

Also there is a power steering pressure switch it has a green and a green with white chaser

Can anybody tell me what they are for??

Off the top of my head. The oil pressure switch controls fuel pump in case you lose oil pressure, it shuts down the electric fuel pump. Plus gives you oil pressure readings, or controls the light.

 

The switch on the power steering is used when you make a turn, it speeds up the rpm's. Example, if you were running the A/C, and that switch did not work, when you made a turn, say stopped, and turned the wheels, the engine would die if that did not speed up the rpm's.

Well had to take off the wire loom to trace the wires to see where they event. But now there is no wire not connected. And everything works.
I also did the same on the 84 as there was a diagnostic port and electric plug ins for the carb that I wanted to remove. It was just 3 wires but I had to do it.
