1965 El Camino project

Maybe doubling the gasket or a thin shim. To get the extra length you need would work.

I checked the slop between the gear and the shaft. Theres .036 of gap so I need to shim it to around .010-.015. This will drop the distributor gear down far enough to contact the cam gear.

My Chevelle is sitting outside rotting into the ground, but looking at a 70 Chevy C10. It seems more fun fixing one up or making something out of it than just driving it. I have a little cash from the elky so I want something that I can do a little work to and maybe sell in a year or two.

I have to agree with you about building them, although it's a lot of fun driving them! I love building them too.

I prefer to build them as well. But also can't bring myself to sell them.
