My truck. Easy way to double the power. With a good cam intake 600cfm carb and the 083 heads I have. I should be able to get 350 HP 450 tq out of this motor.

Well got the motor today. When we loaded it up we checked if it turned and it did not! So I got the motor for 140$ instead of the 200 he was asking. Good deal. I unstuck motors b4 with good luck.
But since I was not using these heads anyways. I though let's pop them off and see what we are dealing with? Well it was not pretty it very rusty. Plus one cylinder is busted!!!!
Will call the machine shop tomorrow to see if I can sleeve the cylinder.

Well got the block apart today. Not looking too bad. Also called the machine shop and there's no problem sleeving the cylinder. So I am gonna save the block. Just need to spend a bit more to do it.

Yeah she was a oil pig for sure. There was a GM double roller timing chain. So I thought they may have also swapped out the cam. But no.

Well. This is becoming the never-ending project lol. Gonna get paint this week. Paint it in spring. And then probably drive it as is.
as I am looking to swap out the diffs and springs. With 1ton units. 10.5 inch 14bolt and a 9.25 inch front. All heavy duty brakes. Along with cucv2 springs. And front and rear limited slip diffs.

You said it, they all seem to be a never ending story. No matter what you do there is always something else it seems.

Heres my truck finally sitting on 35s. They are not mine. But I get to see how it stands with them and all. Get to feel how they steer and handle. 20170406_130248.jpg20170406_130236.jpg
