Oh yeah, they can be real stubborn for sure. When I'm removing old stuff, and do not plan on reusing it, I get the torch to heat things up. smile

Yeah but I want to save the bars and they not to put heat to them .so I did not want to use torchs or the
Plasma to transfer heat so iI used a good old grinder.

I had oil in the fuel tank of the elcamino. I drained it in a bucket and rinsed it out with gas, I wonder if you could get a couple bottles of alcohol and dump in it to dry it out or a bottle of fuel dryhmm just trying o think of something cheap and easy. You could dump it and let it sit to dry but rust may form

I thought of that. Not sure it will work with this much water.

Well I syfoned most of the water out of my tank. To the point that there is some gas in the water. So I was thinking of getting some methyl hydrate to see if it will burn out the rest.

??? Not a clue how it got there. But the truck has been sitting with no bed for a couple of months now so maybe it leaked from the sending unit ? Although it should not have.

You probably checked already, but maybe vacuum leak or even a couple wires crossed or distributor off a little?  I see a new carb is it possible some dirt got in it and a jets pluged, just trying to think of things to check. I had an old firebird that ran like crap, new plugs/wires rebuilt distributor and all it had was a little dust had gotten in the carb and plugged a jet. Revved it a little and stuck my hand over the carb to choke it out, it forced vacuum and cleaned itself.

I am pretty sure its gas quality as the carb was on my buddy's GTA last week. And ran perfect.
