Well guys money is short over here.so I was thinking about just swaping
Out my intake and carb and not doing the heads.
The heads are swirl port tbi heads.they will probley limit my output
But should work better with the 4bbl then the tbi unit
What do yall think?

well here are the pics of the doors installed on the truck. they are nowhere near new doors but will do the job for a old work truck.

and also a couple of pics of the motor with the intake carb and hei installed. and started to de-cluter the wiring harness for the ecu.

there is alot of wiring in there. damn! there is still some i dont know what to do with. i dont really want to cut it out. i would like to get it out in one piece but will see later.IMG_0751.JPGIMG_0752.JPGIMG_0753.JPGIMG_0754.JPGIMG_0755.JPGIMG_0756.JPGIMG_0757.JPGIMG_0758.JPGIMG_0759.JPGIMG_0760.JPGIMG_0761.JPGIMG_0762.JPGIMG_0763.JPGIMG_0764.JPG

I think its lookin pretty good, Best of all its paid for. My wife tippede my truck over last month and I thought about getting another but just didnt want those payments. So I kept the old one and did like you, put new used doors on it and a new windshield. Other than the doors not matching it rides and drives like it always did and its paid for.

a few pictures of the Rig knocked the bed out enough so a tail light would fit patched the cab it had a big wowwy had to replace all the shocks and put a leveling kit on it, seems like a new truck. Probably wouldnt have done it if I hadnt come across John's thread

Well I started the motor yesterday.it sounded some good!
A lot more throttyer than it did with the tbi.espcially when the back barrels open
But still have a couple of hickups to fix. Need to get the timing
Fix some vaccum leaks and find out why I have no power in the cab

Looks like its coming along nicely...I like the 88-98 body style better than the later ones. I just picked up a 97 GMC...Luckily, the body is excellent on it.

Diffenitly time for some new pieces. smile I remember when I redid my old Bronco 2. I had 3" lift kits in it. Had to hunt down a hardware that even had the n. 8 bolts the length I needed. Cost 60 bucks for them. biggrin But, I was doing a body change.
