2008 Chevy Express 1500 Brakes Help

2008 Chevy Express 1500 Van four wheel disc brakes. How do you adjust the emergency brake. Some say you got pull wheel [which side] and ajust shoes for emergency brakes other say can do it with out pulling wheel. Im confused and failed state inspection.

see if you can tighten up on the adjustment nut on the cable off the park brake pedal . The cable might be stretched . They should be going to the rear calipers they auto adjust the Pistons should screw out as the park brake is stepped on . I have seen calipers that are damaged with the piston screws bent from not being serviced correctly with the right caliper piston compressor . if this is the case they will not adjust out correctly .

Now I see it . They go inside the Rear Rotors . See there are Brake shoes and the Rear Rotors have a Drum bult into them . You have to most Likely replace the Rear Rotors and Park Brake Shoes because they are worn out . Maybe someone drove with the Park Brake on ?

There adjustable . See that star wheel there has to be a Hole in the Rear Backing Plates to turn it . It should click as it tightens . Or it may be Rusted up .
