Harbor Freight Manual Tire Changing Tool

I Mounted up My Tire Changer today . I used some 7/16" Clevis Pins that I bought from the Hardware Store . The ones that come with Look line metric Size just over 3/8" . The Holes are Drilled 7/16" so it's not a Problem to use the Larger Pins .

I Drilled (4) 3/8" Holes through a Heavy Duty Pallet a Friend dropped off . You have to off set it a Bit for the Correct Room for Breaking down the Tire Bead . I used as much S/S Hardware that I could afford . The 4"x3/8" Carriage Bolt cost about $4.00 Each I past on them . Then I used S/S 3/8" Wing Nuts and Fender Washers for quick assemble and Break down when storing .

I will say this Tool works well better then most would think it would . But yes it takes some body strength to work it . And I would soap up any Tires you want to Break Down or install . If you mark the Tire to wheel Like I did for a Repair or Valve Change as this Tire needed the Balancing should be the same . The Tire I broke Down was off a 1972 Cutlass that I had in the Late 90's . No Telling how Long it was on that Wheel . So by no means did I take an easy First Tire for this Tool Test :getting tired

I did need to use these bars as well to Help along the way . The Long Black Bar is from a German WW2 Tank Tool Kit .

I ordered Some Tool Last Week From Harbor Freight . One of the Tools was this 24" Tire Bar that should Be a Big Help in Changing Tires . It Kind of Like a Square Stock . There is No Way it's going to Bend .
