between that and working this new part time job i got, this new motor is basically already paid for.

and it aint no gen 1. 900 bucks for the long block 6.0 LS!! i sat down figured my cost, it would of been 3-4 hundred more to build a 406 considering the deal i got on this ls motor

already has an aftermarket cam and ported heads !!!

But Now you will have to make Engine Mounts and Headers to fit that New Engine into your old Chevy ?

they make those to, this is an easy swap


this makes it very veasy,

no dizzy needed.

They have a goofy oil pan that has a Torque warning on it . Looks Like it might mount to the mains ?

How about the Bell-housing Bolt Pattern ? Will your TH-350 Work ? Or do they Make an adapter plate that you have to use ?

same bolt pattern. only difference is the ls uses the bolt at the very top "the peak" of the bellhousing, well our gen 1's do not use this anyway??? i took my old nova bellhousing and help it up to a 4l80e trans from a 04 escalade it fit right on them dowels. all you need is the flexplate adapter and you can run a 168 flywheel/flexplate

being who i am a 4 speed guy stuck with an auto t-350 ive decided to make the switch to a glide, i cant belive it either!!!!! sacrificing one more gear int he pursuit of racing , trust me once i get working again? you will see a bad ass 4 speed trans in my car

I am not to Crazy about most of them Auto Schools . But The one you were talking about Sounds Like a Good one . If you can get a Good Price For your Stuff Let it go . There will be Lot's of LS Engines for you to Build in the Future . And For Me I Like to change Cars that I own for Different ones . It's Fun to Build New Hot Rod's do an LS-1 Fox Mustang Build Later on ?

That's the only way I roll . Even if I built an LS-1 it would be carb-ed . I have some old School Tricks that I have not Passed on yet nod.gif -biggrin
