my 1988 chevy truck rebuild.

hey guys.

i am gonna start my truck project here soon( as soon as the snow can stop)

we had good weather here for a week hitting the high 50's the snow was all gone and a couple of days ago we got a snow storm and we are back up to about a foot of snow.

i plan to take the cab and box off the frame. the box needs a new drivers box side and gas door.

the cab need a new floor, rockers and inner rockers also gonna try and find a good set of rust free roll down window doors. as my power door quit on me a good 15 years ago.

and i will also take this time to do a efi to carb swap  that i have been wating to do for the past 10 years or so.

not sure if i am gonna clean up a set of iron heads or go with a fancy aluminum set.but i allready have my intake and carb here just needs a clean up.

will do new brake lines and fuel lines  at the same time.

will take lots of pics as the project goes along.

i would like to keep the original color but i cant aford a paint job right now . so i will be giving it the tremclad treatment.
in a olive drab. i always like the military look anyways so it will be somthing different after all the years of it being the same color.

yeah the block i used for my rebuild years ago was a older block. as i like the 2 piece seal better and also wanted to make sure i had a place to mount the fuel pump. as this was always my plan.
